- Develop and characterize highly efficient material for solid state emitters;
- Research of new PL materials namely for phosphor converted white LEDs;
- Development of CRI by RGB or RGYB colours combination;
- Use of multichip LEDs to generate white light;
- Two main approaches will be considered:
- (i) the development of efficient inorganic transparent phosphors to be pumped with commercial available LEDs focusing on white phosphor converted phosphors and
- (ii) enhance the potentialities of nitride-based materials to cover the multicolour (RGB or RGYB) approach with emphasis on the materials green gap. Undoped and doped thin films, nanowires and quantum dot-based structures will be optically characterized to explore the (i) to (ii) physical phenomena
