Biomaging agents

  • Development of new efficient fluorescent materials for bioimaging agents;
  • Use of RE-activated nanosized ceramics to bioimaging research and medical diagnosys;
  • Explotation of the efficiency of nanomaterials in the “biological window” (800 to 1700 nm) namely RE-codoped insulator materials offer the observation of upconversion PL phenomena of NIR photons into visible light;
  • Functionalization of inorganic nanophosphors for sensing and dyagnosis. Highly transparent nanoceramics doped and codoped with RE ions (e.g Eu, Tb, Yb, Tm and Er) processed by different routes will be exploited.
